Avery's First Christmas!

For Christmas Eve we went to Grandma Kathy's and for Christmas Day we were at Grandma and Grandpa Zercher's house. Like Thanksgiving, Avery got all the attention! She didn't really 'open' any presents, but she sure did get a ton of things :) Among them is a really cool piggy bank that her second cousin's husband, Myke, made for her!

Avery gets her first shots

Today was Avery's two month pediatrician visit, where she received her first round of shots :(

She currently weighs 13 pounds, 2 ounces, and is 25 inches long!

That means that in two months, she has gained 5 pounds, 9 ounces since birth -- that much in two months! Yikes!

The furry brothers

Avery and "the boys," Murphy and Winston, seem to be getting along well. They sniff her and try to lick, and she stares and wonders what the heck they are. I think they're in mutual 'awe' of each other.

Trying to take the perfect picture...

My goal today was to take some pictures and get at least one really good one to create Christmas cards/Baby announcements with. I took a couple hundred pictures, then plugged the camera into the computer and poof! the pictures disappeared from the memory card. Grrr! So, I took a few more, but Avery was starting to tire from the process.

Then, once she started dozing and was falling into a deeper sleep, I decided to take some sleeping shots and somehow snapped this smiling one! This is the one I'm going to use for our cards :)

Big Smiles!

Well, Avery is smiling a whole lot now... she is approximately 6 weeks old, and is such a ham! She even smiled for the camera a few times -- here are a few to share!
