Four month pediatrician check and shots

Well, the shots sucked, but the appointment was great otherwise. Avery is now a whopping 16 pounds even and is 25 and 1/4 inches long. Chuck and Anna think Jed and I should express her height in feet now, so I guess we'll just say she's 2'1". She did well with the shots, but they of course made her cry, which is just heartwrenching to watch. We're due back in April, so we'll see how much she weighs then!

Future prom date...

Today Avery got to visit Jacob Ter Keurst, who was born on February 2nd. Jacob didn't say much, and Avery mostly just drooled. It was still cute, though :)

A visit from Marylin

Well, this time, the two babies took much more notice of each other. It was pretty comical to see them sort of interact, although I think they were still mostly oblivious to the fact that the other was another human. They were trying to touch each other's arms and hands and they did look at one another quite a bit. It is just so funny to see the two of them together. The third pic makes me think of the line "Let me make you an offer you can't refuse."

Stupid Human Tricks...

Avery is thinking about taking her act on the road. Perhaps Dave Letterman will feature her on his skit called "Stupid Human Tricks?"

Discovery of Sunlight

Avery discovered light today... she was laying on the couch and the sun was coming in through the sliding glass door and reflecting onto her hand. It was so fun to just watch her move her hand every which way and watch the light bounce off of it. It's moments like these that make me realize just how MUCH she has to learn about the world!
