I think we've got an animal lover on our hands...
Her newest thing is to say "but" for the butterflies hanging in her playroom. If I ask her where they are, she'll look at them, and sometimes point and say "but." So cute!
She also has stopped saying "pup" for the dogs, and instead when I ask her what sound a puppy makes, she says "ooh" or "oof."
She is really mimicking a lot of what she hears and sees. Last weekend at her birthday party, I was outside and (since the dogs had to be out that day) I told them "Stay" at the door and showed them the hand signal for "stay." Avery immediately put her hand out in the same way and said "Stay" -- then I tested her and she did it a few more times. It was amazing!

One year pediatrician appointment
Well, Avery got her one year shots today. No fun! Earlier this evening we went to Gymboree and she was totally out of sorts. The things that make her laugh hysterically last week made her cry tonight :(
Here are her current stats:
Weight -- 22lbs, 10oz.
Height -- 30in.
She's also been given the go ahead to eat peanut butter! Mmmmmmmmmmm :)

Oh, WOW.
Today on the way home from dropping my friend Jill off at the airport, I saw an accident on the freeway. My reaction was to say "Oh, wow." About 10 seconds after I said it, Avery repeated it: "Oh, WOW." For about 10 minutes after word, we took turns saying "Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Oh, wow." It was great. She cracks me up!
