Before any changes were made -- notice everything is white -- the carpet, the walls, the vertical blinds...
During the floor install -- we chose slate because it's durable and we had just moved from a house with WHITE carpet. We were a little jaded... there was a HUGE crack in the middle of the floor. Let's hope the house is done settling :)
Painting the fireplace a taupe color -- floors are done, grout is in.
This pic was taken the day after my 30th bday party (hence the banner) but it shows the finished painting on the walls (a light tan color) the wood trim is painted, the floor is in, and the furniture is FINALLY in the room.
Here is the latest change to the room -- we put curtains up, finally.
Yay -- May of 2005, new furniture!!!
