Obnoxious birthday singers…<\/p>\n

She was up for it, though :) We went to Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour — a place where everyone I knew growing up wanted to go to celebrate their birthday. They come out with a big drum and obnoxious lights and sirens. It’s a fun way to embarrass your kid for a few minutes. At first I didn’t think she wanted to go through with it after seeing them do it for a few other birthdays, and I would have gladly cancelled if I thought she would really hate it and be embarrassed. When they told us it was our turn, she said, “Okay, I’ll stand up.” And it was all smiles from there :)<\/p>\n
